DPNC names Vera Harsh as director of development

Mystic — The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center announced Wednesday that it has named Vera Harsh as its director of development.

Before coming to the nature center, she worked at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London. Before that she was development director at Steamship Historical Society of America and New England Science and Sailing, as well as having served on many local boards such as the Stonington Free Library, A Child’s Garden Montessori and Stonington Education Fund.

“We’re delighted Vera has joined the Nature Center team,” said nature center Executive Director Davnet Conway Schaffer. “She combines professionalism and community leadership with a love of DPNC programs. We look forward to her participation in carrying out the Nature Center’s mission and stewarding our sustainable growth as we look to the future.”
