Norwich attorney Theodore Phillips named as 'Super Lawyer'

Norwich — Local attorney Theodore N. Phillips II has been selected again to the New England Super Lawyers list.

Phillips was recognized for his work in the area of business and corporate law. Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive the honor, according to a news release on the announcement.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented, multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.

Phillips has practiced law in eastern Connecticut since 1981. He is a past president of the New London County Bar Association and has volunteered in leadership positions for many community organizations. He was Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce’s 50th Annual Citizen of the Year. He was named by the Connecticut Law Tribune as one of a dozen attorneys in the state who make a difference. He is a recipient of the Ron Aliano Service Award in Norwich.

Phillips fields caller questions on WICH-1310 AM monthly.
