Mason Panas of Ledyard and Allison Codner of New London have been named the November Students of the Month at Saint Bernard School.

One middle-schooler and one high-schooler are recognized each month for exhibiting the Xaverian Brothers’ spiritual values of humility, trust, zeal, compassion and simplicity.

Panas, a sixth-grader, is a member of the school band and orchestra as well as the tennis team. Teachers recognized his hard work and compassion while speaking with peers who are having a hard time.

Codner, a senior, runs for the indoor and outdoor track teams and is a member of the Silver Cross Society, National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society. Staff in the counciling office said she recently helped fellow students get ideas for college essays by building idea webs with them.
