Kindness in Real Life: Ledyard Rotary donates to food pantry
The Ledyard Rotary Club recently donated 25 food baskets to the Ledyard Food Pantry to support its Thanksgiving food program for residents in need. About 125 baskets total were distributed during the week of Thanksgiving.
The club also presented the food pantry with a $2,500 donation to support its year-round food distribution programs, based in the one-room schoolhouse next to Ledyard Congregational Church on Colonel Ledyard Highway.
The club meets on Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Groton. For more information, visit ledyardrotary.org.
