Old Lyme — The holidays mean it's tea time at the Florence Griswold Museum.

Throughout the month, the art museum has been hosting Miss Florence's Christmastime Tea overlooking the Lieutenant River. The hot Ceylon and China black teas are infused with vanilla and spices and served with sandwiches and sweets, the museum says. The events, catered by Gourmet Galley of North Stonington, run through Saturday.

On Thursday, Rachel Haddadof Grand Rapids, Mich., and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Haddad of Cambridge, Mass., who were in the area visiting relatives in Old Saybrook, attended a tea.

So did Addy Robarge and her mother, Margo Burr, both of Waterford. Going to the tea together was Robarge's Christmas gift to her mother.
