Free health and wellness fair Thursday at Norwich senior center

Norwich — “Taste of Diversity and De-Stress,” a free community health fair with international flavor will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rose City Senior Center, 8 Mahan Drive.

The event, sponsored by Norwich Youth and Family Services and Norwich Public Schools, will feature presentations and information about a variety of community wellness program to promote general health. Dinner will be provided by local, diverse restaurants.

The goal of the Taste of Diversity and De-Stress Fest is to provide a collective forum for parents to become aware of alternative services available to assist them in their day-to-day lives, and to teach self-care strategies that reduce stress.

A free raffle for a Nintendo 2DS gaming system will be held during the event.

Child care and dinner are provided at no charge. Registration is suggested but not required. For more information, visit the Norwich Youth and Family Services Facebook page or call (860) 823-3782 x3481.
