Groton — What do you do if you're a skier and there is no snow?

Todd Brown has been using roller-skis to train for upcoming cross country ski races. His first 50K race is coming in two weeks and he plans to race in the Slumberland American Birkebeiner, which draws more than 8,000 racers to Wisconsin, in February.

Brown says he likes the Groton Long Point Road hill, where he could be found roller-skiing Friday, for his training because of the grade and wide shoulder.

Temperatures are forecast to be in the 50s over the weekend — with rain, no snow.
