Norwich — Police have charged a man with murder after they say he stabbed another man to death Saturday night.

Jeffrey T. Stovall Jr., 22, of Worcester, Mass., was charged Sunday afternoon with murder and criminal violation of a protective order in the death of Jason Beck, 33, of 31 Sandy Lane.

Police said that at about 8:05 p.m., they responded to 31 Sandy Lane after receiving a report of an active assault there. Police said they determined Stoval had stabbed Beck multiple times with a knife during a domestic incident.

Beck was brought to The William W. Backus Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
