East Lyme — Sophia Poulos of East Lyme was sitting on a large driftwood log Wednesday at McCook Point, looking out over Niantic Bay.

Originally from Greece, she said she had lived near the water. Now she comes to the park every day and says looking out over the water makes her feel good.
