Picking up tricks in Groton

Groton — David Green has been bringing his son David Green Jr., 9, both of Groton, to Bluff Point State Park to practice riding his pit bike in the parking lot.

David Jr. started learning how to ride the bike less than a week ago and the pair has been practicing almost every day in the lot.

"It's big enough and quiet enough for him to do laps and get comfortable. The potholes make it a little more fun," Green said Wednesday as he watched his son.
