Lyme dance student competes in Ireland

Lyme resident Gillian Milewski recently competed in the All Ireland Irish Dance Championships in Killarney, Ireland, representing the Gray School of Irish Dance in Old Saybrook and the New England Irish dance community.

Milewski, a freshman at the Williams School in New London, earned three medals and placed 13th and 19th out of 164 dancers in her solo rounds. She was also recognized as a Recall Medal Finalist in the overall competition. She will join fellow Gray School students at the North American Irish Dance Championships in Nashville, Tenn. in July.
