Groton Senior Center cancels Bakers Battle event

Groton — The Groton Senior Center has canceled the upcoming Bakers Battle fundraiser scheduled for March 14, as well as its St. Patrick's Day luncheon.

"This is in accordance with the Governor's declaration of a public health emergency in response to a Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Connecticut," the facility said in a Facebook post. "We are looking to reschedule and will keep you posted as we proceed."

The senior center said if people were registered for either event, money will be refunded to their account.
