A day at Eastern Point Beach in Groton

Groton — Life putters along at Eastern Point Beach.

Jordan Zahaba of Ledyard brought her daughter, Raelynn, to the beach Wednesday. They were tired of sitting around the house for the past two weeks and wanted to take a walk and get some air.

Later in the day, a submarine sailed by. Kevin Collins of Northampton, Mass., and Aaron Edgin of Groton spotted it heading out and decided to stop by the beach to watch.
