Groton — If the sun brought you outside on Friday, you weren't alone; animals were enjoying the springlike conditions, too.
A pair of mallard ducks joined three eastern painted turtles on a rock in the pond by the Shennecossett Beach Club on the sunny afternoon.
Saturday was expected to be partly sunny and even warmer, with highs in the low to mid-70s in southeastern Connecticut.
