Norwich Area Clergy Association to host prayer vigil Wednesday

Norwich — The Norwich Area Clergy Association will host a one-hour prayer vigil at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Chelsea Parade in memory of all of those who have died due to racism in the country.

The prayer vigil will include religious leaders of various faiths represented in the Norwich community, who will separately share from their faith traditions some words or thoughts and prayers.

“The service will provide another opportunity, perhaps from a different perspective, for all of us to come together with our neighbors and try to understand what we can do to restore inner peace and national harmony, strengthen our community, and put an end to the hate that continues to challenge and hurt us,” the association president, Rabbi Julius Rabinowitz, said in a news release announcing the vigil.

The vigil is open to everyone. For further information, contact Rabinowitz at (914) 380-0532.
