COVID-19 hospitalizations inch up in New London County

The state has seen 49,810 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Friday evening, 140 more than the number reported the prior day. One additional associated death brought the state’s total deaths to 4,432. Hospitals in the state were caring for 69 COVID-19 patients on Friday, three more than on Thursday.

An additional 15,265 tests for the disease were reported, bringing the state’s total to 792,040.

New London has seen 1,339 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far, the state reported Friday evening, six higher than the number reported Thursday. Suspected cases remained flat at 63. Confirmed and probable associated deaths also remained unchanged, at 77 and 26, respectively.

However, one more COVID-19 patient was reported hospitalized Friday, for a total of two in the county.
