    Swabs at Coast Guard Academy face challenges of Sea Trials

    New London — Members of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Class of 2024 faced the challenges of their Sea Trials on Thursday.

    The Sea Trials, a series of physical, team-building challenges, mark the end of the 7-week Swab Summer indoctrination.

    The swabs will receive their shoulder boards Friday morning, Aug. 14, officially joining the Corps of Cadets.
