New London — Donna Podurgiel, Bettine Besier, Andrea Deedy and Susy Diana, all of Quaker Hill, were enjoying conversation over lunch Wednesday at Fort Trumbull State Park.

The women said they were taking the opportunity to get together before Diana, a teacher, goes back to work, since it's easier for them all to gather when she is off for the summer.
