Mystic — Workers at Mystic Seaport Museum's Henry B. duPont Preservation Shipyard and the crew of the tall ship Kalmar Nyckel watched Thursday as the ship was lowered into the Mystic River on the shipyard's Hays and Ros Clark shiplift.

The vessel, the official tall ship of the state of Delaware, has been at the shipyard since the end of August undergoing maintenance and a U.S. Coast Guard inspection.

It soon will return to its homeport off Wilmington and be open for a delayed and shortened fall sailing season.
