New London — Inspectors from the U.S. Coast Guard maintenance yard in Baltimore were using a lift Tuesday to examine the rigging of the barque Eagle, docked at Pier 7 at Fort Trumbull State Park.

The Eagle, the official training ship of the Coast Guard Academy, has spent the last six winters undergoing maintenance in Baltimore but will be home at Fort Trumbull this winter.
