Needleman secures several endorsements in run for 33rd Senate District

Democratic State Sen. Norm Needleman, D-Essex, has received endorsements from several organizations in his run for the 33rd Senate District seat, most recently from NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut.

He has additionally secured endorsements from Planned Parenthood, the American Federation of Teachers, Independent Party, Connecticut Realtors and Uniformed Professional Firefighters.

The Connecticut Marine Trades Association last week presented Needleman with the “Honorary Crew Member Award” for his support of the state’s recreational boating industry and local businesses.

Needleman is challenged this year by Republican Brendan Saunders in a district that covers Colchester, Chester, Clinton, Deep River, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland and Westbrook.
