Additional member of Northeast Academy tests positive for COVID-19
Groton — The Groton school district reported Friday that an additional member of the Northeast Academy Arts Magnet Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.
The school has been closed for the last few days, after it shifted to full distance learning through Nov. 11 when it learned of a positive case on Monday.
“This second case does not change our plans; we will still resume in-person classes on November 12,” Superintendent Michael Graner wrote in a notification. “The affected person has been instructed to isolate at home following public health guidelines."
The district said it is working with Ledge Light Health District on contact tracing.
