    Groton Middle School to shift temporarily to full distance learning

    Groton — Groton Middle School will shift to full distance learning starting on Thursday, Nov. 12, after another member of the school community tested positive for COVID-19, the superintendent announced.

    In-person classes will start again on Thursday, Nov. 19.

    Groton Superintendent Michael Graner said in a notification Tuesday that the school district has worked with Ledge Light Health District and already reached out to close contacts of the person.

    “We are monitoring this situation with Ledge Light Health District and will provide you with updates if additional information becomes available,” Graner said.

    Groton school officials had learned Monday that another person at Groton Middle School had tested positive for COVID-19.
