Norwich — A Providence and Worcester Railroad General Electric B40-8W locomotive No. 4006 was moving freight cars Thursday to a siding on the east bank of the Thames River in Norwich.
P&W, which in 2017 became part of the Genesee and Wyoming Railroad, operates about 346 miles of track in Connecticut, according to the company website.
