Groton Senior Center to host tour of houses decorated for holidays
Groton — Do you live in Groton and plan to decorate the outside of your home for the holidays?
The Senior Center will be hosting a holiday light tour in December and is taking sign-ups until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1. To sign up, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, telephone number, address and theme of your house. Only the addresses will be used in a map for the tour.
Houses must be decorated by Dec. 3, according to a news release issued Friday.
Starting Dec. 4, people can pick up a tour map outside the Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or can get an electronic copy on the center’s Facebook page, facebook.com/GrotonSC.
Those who take the tour then can vote for their favorite decorations by writing down the address of the house on a piece of paper and dropping it into the box outside the Senior Center between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. People also can vote by emailing the address to email@example.com, or online by going to the designated location on the center’s Facebook page above. Voting closes at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 1.
