Groton — Groton Superintendent Susan Austin said Tuesday that the school district has learned that members of the Claude Chester and S.B. Butler elementary schools tested positive for COVID-19.

She said in a notification that the school district worked with Ledge Light Health District and informed all close contacts within the schools. "The affected individuals have been instructed to isolate at home following public health guidelines," she said.

The district has students learning fully remotely this week following a post-holiday increase in COVID-19 cases.
