Readers vote Lighthouse Inn as next topic for The Day's Curious CT feature
We're on it.
Last week, The Day asked readers to vote on which of three reader-submitted questions about local places you'd like us to investigate next.
The winning question, with 182 out of 307 votes, was about the Lighthouse Inn, a historic site in the south end of New London. The reader who submitted the question wrote, "Miss the Lighthouse Inn so much. Such a great place where memories were made. What is the entire history of the place from the beginning to the sad end? Are there plans for a future of the place?"
We've assigned two Day staffers, John Ruddy and Greg Smith, to report on this topic and have contacted the reader who submitted the question to see if she'd like to participate in the story.
We're preparing a new round of topics for you to select as we continue to strive to report the news that's important to you.
