New London — The Kiwanis Club of New London’s N.B. King Scholarship applications for graduating seniors from the region are now available.

These prestigious scholarships are named in the memory of N. Blake King, a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club of New London and former New England District of Kiwanis governor.

Applications are evaluated with consideration given to academic performance, extracurricular activities, community service and financial need. Graduating seniors at New London, Waterford, East Lyme, Lyme-Old Lyme, Fitch, Montville, St. Bernard’s, Ledyard, Marine Science Magnet, Norwich Tech and Grasso Tech high schools are encouraged to apply.

Applications are available at high school guidance or counseling offices, the Kiwanis Club of New London website, newlondonkiwanis.org, or the Kiwanis club Facebook page, facebook.com/groups/kiwanisclubofnewlondon.
