Mohegan — Winners of the Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen competitions were crowned this weekend at Mohegan Sun, the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Organization announced Monday.

Sapna Raghavan of Ellington was named Miss Connecticut 2021. Aicha Diallo of West Haven was named Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen 2021.

Raghavan, 22, who served as Miss Pleasant Valley and Forever Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen 2015, will compete in the Miss America competition at Mohegan Sun in December. She has been awarded a $10,000 scholarship. Diallo, 16, who served as Miss Greater Hamden’s Outstanding Teen and will compete in the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competition, won $2,500 in scholarships.
