    COVID-19 vaccine clinics available in Norwich

    Norwich — Norwich Human Services announced several COVID-19 vaccination clinics and testing sites over the next two weeks.

    The Uncas Health District will hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic with the Moderna vaccine at the Rose City Senior Center, 8 Mahan Drive, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Register through the state Vaccine Administration Management System, or VAMS, or by calling the Uncas Health District nurse at (860) 823-1189, ext. 106.

    Griffin Health will hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic giving the Moderna vaccine from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the Rose City Senior Center. Walk-ins are welcome, but attendees are asked to call Norwich Human Services at (860) 823-3778 to register if possible.

    The Federal Emergency Management Agency mobile vaccination van will be giving the Moderna vaccine from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at St. Mary’s Church at 70 Central Ave. in the Greeneville section of Norwich. Walk-ins welcome. United Community and Family Services will be on site with a mobile food distribution.

    Free COVID-19 testing will be done from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Place soup kitchen, 120 Cliff St., Norwich.
