Downtown Mystic getting some fresh paint

Mystic — The Mystic River Park business directory sign and Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream got some fresh paint Tuesday.
Chris Sirrell was painting the posts for the business directory sign. He does handyman work for the park as well as a number of downtown businesses. He said he installed new boards in the sign for three new downtown businesses.
Not too far away, Errol Hewitt of Hartford-based Hewitt Painting and an assistant were painting the facade of the ice cream shop.
