Food boxes, COVID-19 vaccine available at event Tuesday in Groton City

Groton — People can stop by St. John’s Christian Church on Tuesday afternoon to pick up a box of food or get a COVID-19 vaccine — or both.
The City of Groton and United Way are partnering on a food box distribution from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at St. John's Christian Church at 346 Shennecossett Road.
Ledge Light Health District also will be on site to offer doses of the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines.
No registration is needed, and the event is open to everyone.
