Food pantry offering distribution at Hispanic Alliance
New London — The New London Area Food Pantry has announced that it has reached an agreement with the Hispanic Alliance of Southeastern Connecticut to provide food at the Hispanic Alliance twice a month for clients who can't get to the pantry during regular hours.
The food pantry operates outside the Opportunities Industrialization Center of New London on Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Now, there also will be a food distribution the second and fourth Monday of the month from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hispanic Alliance office, at 170 State St.
As parking is limited, those interested in getting food must call (860) 443-6680 ahead of time to reserve a pickup time. State and federal qualifications to receive assistance will be discussed upon request for an appointment.
