    Norwich Memories: A finished foundation

    This photo from the early 1920s shows Catholic parishioners gather for Mass to celebrate the finished foundation of the new St. Mary’s Church on Central Avenue in the Greeneville section of Norwich. In the left background is St. Nickolas Russian Orthodox Church, with its onion dome, on Convent Avenue.
