    Home port call for barque Eagle

    New London — The U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle arrived at Pier 7 at Fort Trumbulll State Park on Wednesday morning for a port call.

    Eagle is back in New London after the first leg of its summer training cruise, which took it to The Azores, Iceland and Bermuda.

    Eagle will be at Fort Trumbull through the weekend and depart Monday for Newport and Portland, Maine, and will return to New London on Aug. 13.
