The Day's Hallenbeck to appear on NPR Wednesday

Day Staff Writer Brian Hallenbeck is scheduled to appear on WNPR's "Where We Live" radio show Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. to talk about the expansion of sports betting and online betting in Connecticut.

Hallenbeck, who covers the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes, gaming and business for The Day, will be on the show with state Sen. Cathy Osten, D-Sprague, and others.

The state legislature approved the expansion of gambling, to include sports betting and online betting. The state is awaiting a key decision from the Bureau of Indian Affairs prior to the rollout of the new games.
