Event to celebrate acquisition of North Stonington schoolhouse for affordable housing
North Stonington — Keeping North Stonington Affordable Inc. and the North Stonington Historical Society will hold a celebration Saturday, Oct. 16, of the acquisition of the Clark's Falls Schoolhouse #14 for rehabilitation into affordable housing.
The event will be held at the Hewitt Farm Pavilion from 1 to 3 p.m. with a rain date for Sunday, Oct. 17, at the North Stonington Senior Center.
Historical artifacts, photos and a proposed plan for the conversion will be on display. In addition, the Marcia Thompson Schoolhouse will be open to allow touring of a typical period schoolhouse.
