On the heels of its successful 14th Annual Garlic Festival, Olde Mystic Village presented Always Home of Mystic with a $6,000 check.

Olde Mistick Village management, the Olde Mistick Village Merchants Association, and festival vendors and sponsors, were responsible for the donation. The gift was the result of a portion of the proceeds raised from the festival.

“I believe in giving back to the community, and I’ve done it for 48 years with the village,” said Joyce Olson Resnikoff, developer of Olde Mistick Village, during the check presentation ceremony.

Always Home’s goal for the past 20 years has been to keep families living in their own homes, and out of emergency shelters, to help parents create stability for their children.
