    Students get an education in the field in Groton

    Groton — Marine biology students from Avon High School searched for specimens Friday along the shore of the Poquonnock River at Bluff Point State Park.

    Marine biology teacher Scott Percival says this was the first field trip for his students in two years.

    His class will either travel to Bluff Point or Sherwood Island State Park for outings.
