The local Justin Morrill Scholarship Awardees of The Historically Black College Alumni for 2021 have been announced. The following students earned scholarships:

Joceline Rodrigues of Norwich, Norwich Free Academy. She is attending the University of Rhode Island.

Francesca Foster of Mystic, Fitch, is attending UConn at Avery Point.

Miles King of Norwich, NFA, is attending Old Dominion University.

Tatyana Tart of New London, New London High, is attending Morgan State University.

Shylin Rock of New London, New London High, is attending Southern Connecticut State University.

Alexie Gerve of Griswold, New London High, is attending Johnson & Wales University.

Ann’darhaly Barbot of Norwich, NFA, is attending UConn at Storrs.

Marquis Whyte of New London, New London High, is attending Southern Connecticut State University.

All the students received $1,000 except Ms. Rodrigues, who received $1,550.
