Big Sister (adult mentor) Alicia Morea and her Little Sister (mentee) Mioshi were recently matched in the Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters youth mentoring program.

Alicia is from Bozrah and Mioshi, age 11, lives in Norwich. For their initial match outing, Alicia and Mioshi decided to explore Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam, where they had a great time hiking, chatting and drinking in the amazing early fall weather.

Gillette Castle State Park is where William Gillette – an actor most famous for his classic portrayal of British detective Sherlock Holmes – lived from 1919 to 1937.
