Tickets for Miss America events at Mohegan Sun on sale

Mohegan — Tickets for the Miss America Organization’s 100th Anniversary Competition and preliminary events leading up to it are on sale at the Mohegan Sun box office.

The casino is hosting the competition Thursday, Dec. 16.

The 51 young women vying for the job of Miss America will begin their competition week on Sunday, Dec. 12, with the first evening of preliminary competition followed by round two on Dec. 13. The week continues with anniversary events on Tuesday and Wednesday and wraps up with the final night of competition, which will be nationally televised.

Box office hours are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, contact the box office at (860) 862-3629.
