COVID-19 vaccine clinic for kids happening Saturday in Norwich

Norwich — Uncas Health District is holding its first COVID-19 vaccine clinic for kids ages 5 to 11, taking place Saturday in Norwich from 9 a.m. to noon. It will be held at the Rose City Senior Center at 8 Mahan Drive.

It's a walk-in clinic, with no appointment necessary.

Public health nurse Sue Dubb said Uncas Health District is probably going to be able to do up to 150 vaccinations. There will be a vaccine clinic for the second Pfizer dose on Dec. 4, at the same place and time.

Dubb said there will be toys and coloring books available for children — and a Medical Reserve Corps volunteer dressed as a zebra.
