Waterford COVID-19 testing site Wednesday moved to Crystal Mall

Waterford — The regional COVID-19 testing site scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 5, has been moved from the Waterford Public Library to Crystal Mall, 850 Hartford Turnpike Road, and will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. or until tests run out.

It was moved due to the projected increase in traffic. First Selectman Rob Brule said if town residents are planning on getting tested, this is their only opportunity Wednesday.

"I would like to thank CRJ Mentor LLC for use of the space, for supporting Waterford residents and the region during this difficult time," Brule wrote in a Facebook message.

He also thanked the town's Emergency Management Director Steve Sinagra for organizing the event and assisting the public health department.
