Groton — Anna Stevens of Groton tries cross-country skiing with her dog Nemo, who is 1½ years old, at Haley Farm State Park. 

"We'll see how this goes," she said as Nemo excitedly pulled on his leash as they started out. 

She said she took him skiing a few times last year, when he was smaller and didn't pull as much, but this was their first time this winter.
