    Miss Connecticut candidates to compete today at Mohegan Sun

    The 17 candidates for Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut's Outstanding Teen 2022 took the stage Friday at the Cabaret Theater at Mohegan Sun to rehearse for Saturday's competition.

    The candidates practiced their social impact pitch, their talent performance, their evening gown and onstage interview, as well as the group performances and other aspects of the show.

    The competition features 11 candidates for the Miss Connecticut title and six for the Outstanding Teen title.

    The competition runs from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, with Miss Connecticut 2021 Sapna Raghavan and Miss Connecticut's Outstanding Teen 2021 Aicha Diallo crowning their successors at the end.

    Miss Connecticut 2022 will compete in the Miss America competition this fall, also at Mohegan Sun.
