When Bob Farrell of Stonington retired from his primary career, he wondered what he would do with his time. He wondered if he would be able to do anything meaningful while supplementing his retirement income.

Bob saw an advertisement for Seniors Helping Seniors in Mystic and thought he’d check it out. One day Bob walked into the office and that was it. He found his new mission in retirement and now, 10 years later Bob, a Seniors Helping Seniors companion, is still giving back to our community through providing support to area seniors.

Since owner Maria Cerino opened Seniors Helping Seniors in 2007, 10 people have been inducted into the SHS 10-year club.

In an industry where turnover is commonplace, Seniors Helping Seniors enjoys unprecedented employee longevity with SHS companions averaging 4.2 years helping area seniors.

Seniors Helping Seniors Mystic has been serving the eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island shoreline since 2007.
