    Blessing the bikes in New London

    Motorcyclists line up for the drive-thru blessing at the New London Motorcycle Club's annual bike blessing Sunday, May 15, 2022 at New London Waterfront Park.     Hundreds of motorcyclists crowded Waterfront Park and downtown New London for the annual New London Motorcycle Club blessing of the bikes Sunday.

    Festivities began at 11 a.m. with vendor booths, food trucks, a bike show, and music by the band American Honey at City Pier Plaza.

    The drive-thru blessing began at 2 p.m. The $10 admission fee benefits a number of local charities, including Covenant Shelter, Waterford Country School, and MALTA Inc. The event relocated from Ocean Beach Park, where it was held last year.
