A rainy day beach walk in East Lyme
East Lyme — Siblings Johanna and Michael Shorter Jr. of Madison used rain boots and umbrellas to stay dry Thursday as they visited Crescent Beach.
They joined their mother, Taylor, in visiting her friend Samantha Beyer, who lives in the neighborhood.
"We've been waiting all day for the rain to let up enough to take a walk," Taylor Shorter said. "Their eyes lit up as they jumped in every puddle on the way here."
