Groton Open Space Association to host family hike for National Trails Day
Groton — The Groton Open Space Association will host a family-friendly hike/walk at Avery Farm North to celebrate National Trails Day.
The hike will start at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 5, on the blue trail loop, which is 1.7 miles long. From Route 184, turn onto Lambtown Road. Pass through two stop signs and continue on to the parking area adjacent to the gate that goes across the road.
"We welcome adults, children and leashed dogs to enjoy this easy walk through woods, past open fields, farmland, and a marsh," according to an event notice.

National Trails Day is the first Saturday of June.
